Seattle Shopping

(Try keyword "Women's Fashions" or a ZIP code)

Seattle -- home of Starbucks on seemingly every other corner -- also has brewed up big bucks-style shopping options to go with the historic appeal of Pike Place Market. Downtown glitters with Bacio Custom Jewelry, Ben Bridge Jeweler, and Cartier. A Seattle Mariners Team Store stocks authentic Mariner ballpark merchandise. Other downtown retailers include Nordstrom, Macy's, Chico's, Barnes & Noble, Coldwater Creek, J Crew, Made in Washington, for gifts and souvenirs, and Babeland, the famed women-owned sex toy boutique. Seattle's International-Chinatown District intrigues with Arts of China for fine imports in antiques, home furnishings, arts, and accessories, and Uwajimaya, for Asian foods and giftware. Pike Street's Pike Place Market, among Seattle's most famed landmarks, ranks as the nation's oldest continuously working public market, teeming with fresh fish, vegetables, fruit, herbs, crafts, flowers, pastries, and lots of dining options. On Pier 54 next to Ivar's Acres of Clams, Exclusively Washington has fine products from throughout the state in art glass, pottery, apparel, books, and personalized gift baskets. Also on the Waterfront with panoramic views, Bay Pavilion has shops for apparel and gifts, a vintage carousel, and entertainment.

Westlake Center, with direct access from the Seattle Monorail, has four levels of shopping including Talbots and Nine West, plus dining options such as the Dilettante Mocha Café. University Village has more than 100 specialty stores including Anthropolgie, Crate and Barrel, and Victoria's Secret. Northgate Mall, five miles north of downtown and among the northwest's first malls, is revitalizing with Barnes & Noble, Panera Bread, and more. Westfield Southcenter, anchored by Nordstrom, Macy's, JCPenney, Mervyn's, and Sears, has more than 160 specialty stores and a Rainforest Cafe. SuperMall, the northwest's largest value / outlet mall, has more than 130 stores including Nordstrom Rack, Kenneth Cole, and Banana Republic. Prime Outlets at Burlington has brand name and designer outlet stores, and Seattle Premium Outlets has more than 100 designer and name-brand outlets including Burberry, Coach, and Polo Ralph Lauren. Centralia Outlets, between Seattle and Portland, beckons with more than 50 stores including Big Dogs, Pfaltzgraff and Polished Apple.
